De nobis / About us

Salvete omnes!

Salvete omnes! In the always expanding world of Latin circles, it is our pleasure to introduce the ‘Circulus Mamuciensis’ (Manchester Latin circle), linked to the Department of Classics, Ancient History, Archaeology and Egyptology of the University of Manchester. Founded on 4 February 2020, we gather once in a month, on a Tuesday evening. We exercise our skills in speaking Latin with easy language games, and read short texts, mostly mediaeval and renaissance period. We are always open to newcomers, and include all levels of Latin speakers. Feel free to contact us, via Prof. Christian Laes (christian.laes@manchester.ac.uk).
